About Rachel in Tucson
Hello, I’m Rachel, and I’ve always been a storyteller.
From the moment I could put crayon to paper, I wrote stories and plays, and won essay contests as a kid. Storytelling kept me grounded, despite my Army-brat upbringing, which uprooted me often.
I wound up with a Bachelors in English when I graduated from college. And I learned how to play with storytelling in various forms throughout my career: press releases, poetry, newsletters, blogs, books, landing pages, case studies, proposals, etc.
What I enjoy most about storytelling is how human it is, how it connects us to each other, and to where we live, work, and play.
I’ve developed a deep connection to Tucson, after moving here about five years ago. Perhaps because it’s the “longest continuously inhabited settlement” in North America: There are thousands of years of history and stories here, and all worth learning from.
Storytelling is a craft and I’m fiercely supportive of people who want to refine that craft.
